Consider Submitting an Amateur Radio Related Haiku to Share with the World

If you’re feeling creative and just want to share the joy that Amateur Radio brings you, consider crafting a Haiku about Ham Radio and submit it to the team for consideration of being the feature Haiku of the week on Amateur Radio Newsline.

In the form on this page, enter the three lines of your Haiku, consisting of a poetic line of 5 syllables, followed by a second line of 7 syllables and finally a finishing third line of another 5 syllables. If your haiku meets these standards, you’ll be able to then enter your name, email address, Callsign (if you have one), and submit your haiku.

Our team will pick from the best submissions that represent amateur radio. We will share our favorites on the Amateur Radio Newsline site home page each week.

Amateur Radio Newsline Poetry Contest

Traditional 5-7-5 syllable pattern

Three lines of nature, emotion, or moment

📻 Call Sign Tip: If you add a call sign to the haiku, enter it as though it were spoken in words for the letters. For example: 'W1AW' would be 'Double You One A Double You'. (This is due to limitations of the logic being able to interpret call signs.)
